City of Alhambra

Alhambra offers numerous programs and services for people of all ages.  The city is close to all major business and recreational destinations in the Southland.  Alhambra is well known for its Bean Tract community, the northwestern part of the city. 

 

City of Altadena

Altadena features spectacular views of the San Gabriel Mountains.  It is convenient for those who like to hike or ride bikes in the mountains, or for any outdoor enthusiasts.  The city is famous for its Christmas Tree Lane, that has been a holiday attraction since 1920 and is the oldest large-scale outdoor Christmas lighting venue in the world. 

 

City of La Canada

La Canada Flintridge is located in the eastern end of the Cresenta Valley.  It is nestled between the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains and the San Rafael hills, below the Angeles National Forest.  The city is home to the Descanso Gardens and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

 

City of Pasadena

Pasadena is the main population and cultural center of the San Gabriel Valley.  It is the 6th largest city in the Los Angeles County.  The city is famous for hosting the annual Rose Bowl football game and Tournament of Roses Parade.  Pasadena is also well known for its schools which include Art Center College of Design and California Institute of Technology.

 

City of San Gabriel

San Gabriel is well known for its historic mission, the Mission San Gabriel Arcangel.  The founding of the mission established San Gabriel as the birthplace of the modern Los Angeles region.

 

City of San Marino

San Marino is a small town regarded as having one of the best-performing schools in the Greater Los Angeles area.  The city is home to The Huntington Library, Art Collection and Botanical Gardens, as well as Lacy Park, a 30 acre park.

 

City of Sierra Madre

Sierra Madre is historically linked to the old mountain resorts of the San Gabriel Mountains and Valley.  The small village in the Sierra Madre Canyon area is noted for being a distinct and unusual community.  The downtown area has small restaurants and shops.

 

City of South Pasadena

South Pasadena was originally notable for its ostrich farm, a popular local tourist attraction.  "Mom and Pop" merchants populate the business district, and the Mission West area is a part of the original Route 66.  Historic places in South Pasadena include the Rialto Theater; the 1925 theater is a unique blend of Spanish Baroque and Egyptian stylings.  It is one of the last remaining single screen cinemas in the country.
